Is a group of ladies and captains who gather annually in August to fish for top prize money in an All-Ladies fishing tournament and raise money for women fighting cancer! Each year our RFAC committee selects a different benefactor to donate monies raised to.
Mission:
Pink Ribbon Good exists to serve every person and family affected by breast or gynecological cancer. We provide free healthy meals, rides to treatment, house cleaning essentials, and peer support so no one is alone in the fight.
Summary of who we are and what we do—perhaps not for the website but useful for other elements and for reference.
Pink Ribbon Good (PRG) was created by and for individuals and families navigating their most vulnerable moments. Rooted in the belief that no patient should face cancer alone, we work to eliminate the barriers that isolate individuals and can disrupt or delay treatment by providing free access to critical, practical resources for people undergoing breast and gynecological cancer treatment. Since 2012, PRG has provided organic, nutrient-dense meals for the entire household, concierge transportation to and from medical appointments, non-toxic cleaning supplies, and peer support and education. PRG came to Buffalo in 2023.
While our services are free to any qualified client and their family, we recognize the financial toxicity of cancer disproportionately impacts those already facing food or transportation insecurity and living in poverty. Through strong partnerships with local healthcare systems, we proactively reach vulnerable patients by receiving direct referrals from providers who identify those at greatest risk of delayed or missed care.
In 2025, we served a total of 925 people in Buffalo. We served 793 adults and 132 children. Delivering over 18,029 meals, 279 cleaning kits, and nearly 1,000 rides to and from treatment. 50% of those we served were living below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, while 27% experienced food insecurity and 35% faced transportation insecurity.
Cancer patients already face overwhelming physical and emotional challenges. Financial toxicity and structural health inequities only deepen that burden. PRG’s mission is to remove these barriers so patients can prioritize what matters most – their treatment, their recovery, and their families.
